Yiffing and gibbering

Originally published at Vylar Kaftan. You can comment here or there.

Last night, while playing Arkham Horror, I had a thought.

Surely, somewhere in this wild world, there are Cthulhu furries.

A quick Google search has turned up nothing, but perhaps in some quiet little town…

Wouldn't they be Cthulu-blubberies? Or Cthulu-slimies? I'm not familiar with fuzzy Cthulu's, except as plush dolls :)

I don't think so. There are dragon and lizard furries and they're still called furries.

How odd. They should be scalies.

Obviously this lexical madness needs to be rectified. Someone should start a commission (joke!!) ;)

It was "yiff" what done it.

It started when another player misheard the term "Yithians."

There were furries at DragonCon with a petition at a table when I went in 2006. Something about how people felt about the Furry presence at the Con. They did not yif or anything. None of them were Cthulhu. I don't remember if I saw any Cthulhu costumes there at all. There was certainly plenty of everything else, including several Eye of Saurons walking around.

If you wanted to start something up, here's someone who's made a costume:

Or maybe you could crochet a costume, if you just made one of these a whole lot bigger:

I have them! And a Deep One named Raar, and a Moonbeast named Meh. They are sold by a company called Toy Vault.
